Not steep, but not entirely flat.This 4.6 mile (each way) paved and gravel/dirt surface ride begins at either Glen Cove Waterfront Park or at Benicia State Recreation Area and is best ridden on a mountain bike or other non-skinny-tired bicycle.Just minutes off Highway 780 you’ll find wind rushing through the tall grasses of this beautiful shoreline segment of Bay Trail and Bay Area Ridge Trail.This pier is located on the Carquinez Strait where people come to try to catch sturgeon and striped bass.

Older children advised as under 5 will tire easily on the incline and the trail is too narrow for much stroller action. Over all worth the hike. Pretty sunny. Dry non shedded trail. We had to walk along the rocky shore. Goes through to the Benicia State Park as well for added distance.Beautiful views of the bay on this scenic trail.
