We were unable to visit the lighthouse as it was not open that day, but it too has a very interesting history, as it was "manned" primarily by women. The older kids in our group enjoyed walking to the nature center and looking at the displays. Fish from the pier on the bay, or rent a boat at the camp marina. Park staff is super friendly! We didn't need anything, but it looked like they have a pretty good variety of basic supplies. The actual campground is nice, and you are able to fish, go to the beach or rent kayaks. This weekend they are holding a 2-day ceremony honoring the release of the prisoners who were held captive at the Point during and after the Civil War.
