I could live there. RISP is a great central location near several other parks, so we stayed here while we did our personal 2019 Winter Waterfall Tour! We look forward to it!Woodsy campground with full hookups. Can only imagine the crowds in the spring and summer. For those who enjoy water sports there is boating, fishing, water skiing and kayaking. The waters were ragging and the falls flowing really good with all of the winter rain. It really want to go back during the summer when it's hot and we can explore down in the gorge!
We would have had multiple meals here if we had the time! It is a great place for a family getaway. Rock Island State Park has six picnic pavilions, 60 campsites and 10 cabins available to be reserved for your next visit to the park. Wanted to do the Blue Hole trail but it will be saved for another trip.Hiking, Cliff jumping into deep water, waterfalls, and it's not crowded.

This area is rich in history starting with the old Mill to the Great Falls Dam that was built near the turn of the last century (1917). There are several hiking trails and many waterfalls to see. We look forward to it! It is remote and you can get away from it all. It was a pleasure serving you as a customer. These historic sites provide for plenty of opportunities for taking pictures, but the wildlife (birds, flowers, insects, deer, etc.) the cabins are nice with a full kitchen. It is my family's favorite state park in Tennesse. Several pretty water falls and a really nice campground. Please do visit us again in the summer.
