The Barrow Way just skirts Borris, so there would be approximately a 2.5km detour to the hotel. The 'Barrow Way' is a long-distance walking trail which follows the original towpath beside the river. Featuring 22 gardens in total (with some in Kildare and Wicklow) the trail is a delightful medley of small gardens, award-winning garden centres and forest parks, and is well worth dipping in and out of.
